Quality Inspector/Engineer - IMPROVER

The Role
The role is for an experienced candidate from a quality engineer or quality inspector background to work for a leading precision engineer specialising in the manufacture of automotive and motorsport components. You will be responsible for inspection of components using a manual CMM (which training can be provided for) and hand-held measuring devices such as micrometres, verniers, callipers & gauges. You will also be responsible for compiling and managing FAIR’s & PPAP’s for certain components and jobs.
- Quality Inspection of CNC machined automotive components – using hand-held devices & a CMM.
- FAIR’s, ISIR & PPAP creation.
- SPC and process improvement.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes;
You will have 2+ years of exposure in a quality engineer or quality inspector role preferably within the automotive or motorsport industry (although other industries will be considered). You must be able to inspect CNC machined components using hand-held measuring devices.
- Must have experience in quality related documentation including PPAP’s APQP’s (control plans in particular) and SPC.
- FAIR’s and ISIR experience.
- Experienced in process improvement within the quality department of a precision engineering business.
