Job Role: Quality Inspector
Location: Leicester
Hourly Rate: £11-13 ph
Working Hours: 06.00am – 14.00pm OR 14.00pm – 22.00pm
The Role
We have several exciting opportunities for a Quality Inspectors to join our clients based in Leicester.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results. Perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of products, partially assembled or finished.
· Approve incoming materials confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
· Approve in-process production confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
· Approve finished products confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
· Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
· Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
· Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;
The Candidate
· Inspection experience in a high precision engineering environment: aerospace, precision engineering or automotive
· Experience of working to ISO9001.
· Experience using Micrometers, verniers, height gauges,
· The ability to read customer drawings and understands the importance of accurate measurements
Desirable
· Gained Inspection experience in a fast moving high precision environment: aerospace, precision engineering or automotive
· CMM would be advantage
Job Types: Permanent, Temp to perm
Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
