About the role

Hours: 15 hours per week, worked over two days, Monday-Sunday

Our Retail outlets provide 29% of much-needed income to the hospice. This is vital to be able to provide care to the people of Derbyshire. The hospice has 15 retail shops,1 furniture warehouse a Donation centre, 2 Clearance shops and 2 Coffee shops! We also have an online eBay/Amazon platform and an online furniture store, It’s a big operation! We are looking for a Furniture Store Driver to support our Hasland Furniture Store.

This job role is hard work, enormous fun, hugely satisfying and very fascinating. This is a job that doesn’t have that Monday morning feeling and you will go home feeling happy that you did a great job for an amazing charity! those who work for Ashgate Hospice are very proud to do so. The main responsibilities include:

  • Delivering items to a room of the customer’s choice (when safe to do so) dismantling items and reassembling if required to ensure for a successful delivery.
  • To ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by the Ashgate Hospice shops is maintained at all times.
  • To collect “New Goods” from suppliers around the country, delivering them safely to the Furniture Store.

About you:

You will be an integral member of the Furniture Store team supporting instore teams.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience of making deliveries.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to different customer challenges.
  • Ability to adapt to new work situations and use initiative to find solutions to work related problems.
