About the Marketing Science team

Marketing science at Finecast provides data driven insight and consultancy to our internal teams, agencies and clients to enhance marketing decision making to support in accelerating our client’s growth.

Using scientific principles to design audience and measurement solutions and drive market positioning to ensure we are shifting the needle against our client’s business objectives and making a positive impact on business outcomes, while proving the value of addressable TV in the media plan through a suite of sophisticated measurement solutions and research initiatives.

  • The Insight Executive is an exciting role within Finecast’s UK Marketing Science team, reporting into the Insight & Effectiveness Director.

About the role

The objectives of the Insight Executive will focus on supporting the continued delivery of key insights to the business and to our clients. This will involve contributing to projects which inform Finecast’s organisational strategy, as well as delivering solutions that enable advertisers to effectively deliver their addressable TV advertising campaigns.

The role will require flexibility and creative thinking, as it sits within an area of continued growth and evolution, with multiple projects to manage and different stakeholders to interact with. As such, strong communication skills are a key requirement, along with a natural data literacy and the motivation to learn. The Insight Executive will work closely with the wider Marketing Science team in cross-functional projects related to insight generation, campaign measurement & effectiveness solutions, and initiatives that support Finecast’s audience strategies which provide our clients with cutting-edge targeting capabilities in the addressable TV environment.

The key responsibilities for the role are:

Insight generation

  • Work closely with teams at Finecast, such as Engagement and Client Services, to provide insights that help to shape campaign strategy and implementation, in relation to campaign effectiveness, audience planning, and measurement.
  • Responsible for designated projects and workstreams that provide support to the team on the above areas.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the implementation of campaign effectiveness solutions is set up appropriately and reflect the client’s objectives and are in line Finecast’s audience planning.
  • Support with the post-campaign report and data analysis.
  • Analysis of key industry data sources, such as Ampere and Statista, to uncover insights that help Finecast teams and clients gain a greater understanding of addressable TV advertising.
  • Evangelise our data, measurement, and planning tools. Promote best practices for use of each tool as part of the planning framework.
  • Maintain and support on campaign measurement and effectiveness solutions, across all agencies and clients.
  • Work closely with Finecast’s external Measurement, Research, and Insight partners to manage solutions and insights, making available for the rest of the business.

Projects and process

  • Support Finecast Engagement team on administration and implementation of Brand Uplift Study solutions for clients.
  • Lead on the delivery of certain client deliverables related to Finecast campaign reach and frequency.
  • Manage and update measurement study results database. Regularly produce new insights on campaign performance using this dataset and provide learnings on campaign strategy.
  • Collaborate with the wider team on the go-to-market implementation on projects, such as the launch of new measurement solutions or the roll-out of new insight reports.
  • Work together with the wider Marketing Science team on broader initiatives when needed. Collaborate with the team cross-functional tasks.
  • Document, communicate, and implement any required new processes across teams.

About you

The ideal candidate will have some data skills, along with the capacity to interpret data to draw out insights and communicate these findings in a clear and impactful way.

  • Able to demonstrate relevant experience in data analytics or business analyst functions.
  • Natural data literacy and Excel skills. Knowledge and experience of using SQL to manage and query large data sets would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Determined, quick learner, curious and the mindset to learn on the job.

The below skill sets are desirable but are not essential for the role:

  • Understanding of video advertising and related metrics.
  • Genuine interest for the media industry, target audiences, consumer behaviour and data.
