THE POSITION
This internship is based in our UK & Ireland region, in our Human Pharma division. The Insights Development Team sits within Customer Excellence, who are charged with being the voice of our patients and customers, and to drive excellence across our business activities.
As a key member of the Insights Development Team you will be providing analytical and reporting support to the team and wider stakeholders. You can expect to undertake regular reporting of market and sales performance and will also support the monthly stock forecasting activity, involving working with brand leads and updating core systems.
You will benefit from a detailed placement plan, designed to give you exposure to a wide range of business functions within BI (Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Sales etc). The plan also includes quarterly objectives, which relate to both your personal development and to key deliverables which you will have responsibility for.
You will also participate in both an individually tailored training plan and also in wider development activity for the team (covering areas such as Insight Communication, Tableau Data Visualisation, Stakeholder Management etc).
Requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who wants to squeeze the most out of this opportunity!
You should have a good level of numeracy as you will be working with lots of different types of data (brand performance, sales activity, patient opportunities, marketing engagements etc). You will also need to have good skills using Excel and, although not essential, a background in statistical analysis is preferable.
You should be a personable and engaging communicator, as you will be working with lots of different people from across our commercial operations division.
At BI we follow a hybrid working approach so you can expect to spend 2-3 days a week in the office as required, with flexibility to work from home for the remainder if desired.
The internship is open to a student seeking an in-degree placement.
