About the Role
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: Up to £48,800 / €70,600 depending on skills and experience + performance related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working in a dynamic team to drive analysis and insights to support the development of SSER's strategy, the Insights Analyst will produce market analysis and reports on the markets SSER are currently active in and potential new markets.
You will work closely with teams across SSER, developing and producing a varied range of analysis and reporting, from wide ranging general market news to specific country analysis.
Some of your main accountabilities will include:
- Carrying out market analysis on the UK, Ireland and International renewable generation markets and prepare reports for the wider SSER business areas and Renewables Executive Committee.
- Provide regular updates on news, trends and activities in key SSER markets.
- Working closely with the Business Development and Energy Economics teams to provide analysis on how new opportunities fit within the market.
What do I need?
You don’t need experience or a background in Renewables to be considered for this role, and we welcome applications from those with transferable skills, such as;
- Previous experience in energy market analysis and/or educated to HNC level (preferably in engineering, maths, business, economics or similar subject).
- Demonstrable awareness and an understanding of the key delivery drivers in project development and operations.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to clearly articulate research findings and produce clear summaries and recommendations.
- A high proficiency in the use of PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI to produce and communicate insightful analysis.
