Job description

World Trade Centre 4 days a week + 1 day working from home

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business and a team empowered to make change. The ideal candidate will thrive on finding creative solutions to increasingly complex analytical and business problems with a desire to develop into a self-driven leader in the future.

The Insights team mission is simple: Innovate and Add Value wherever possible.

Our Insights analysts are expected to be embedded within Operational teams. This shifts the onus away from simply building dashboards but on delivering high quality analytics and measuring success by bottom-line value added. This includes but is not limited to model creation, automating existing processes, developing new work strategies, and building the POC's for the next big leap forward.

This Insights role will acquire business context across all Operational teams (Trading, Sports Ops, Product, Payments, Customer Service) with a clear focal point on Sports Ops and Product.

The Insights team is looking to invest long term in the development of its analysts (technical and decision making), therefore finding the right people at this stage is key to the long-term success of the team.

At LiveScore Group we are passionate and excited about what we do in the Sports Media, Gaming and Betting sector and are proud of the high ratings we have achieved. We live our values, aiming to enhance and increase the enjoyment of sport through innovative products and immersive experiences. Trust is important in how we work, ensuring we are a collaborative unit who holds each other accountable. Relentlessly ambitious in everything we do, we embrace change and understand that failure is part of success.

We use our platform for positive social change and work to build a company our employees are proud to work for. We have a long-term commitment to diversity and inclusion. Our I.D.E.A (Inclusion, Diversity, Equality, Awareness) Forum is critical to our business and is embedded in our organisational structure to support a sense of belonging for everyone and to create a culture that allows all employees to thrive.

We know a job description can often deter an applicant who does not believe they match 100% of our requirements. If you are interested in this position and have relevant experience, then we would still love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the Sports Ops team to understand their business needs analytically before transitioning into the key point of innovation for them. This is not limited to analytics but also optimising their current workflows to find efficiency savings and add value.
  • Build up a strong working relationship with the Product team. Be the point of contact for their requirements and help them to optimise the different sections of our brands.
  • Over time, work at all stages of the data journey from acquisition, extraction, descriptive and diagnostic analysis, report building and modelling.
  • Help deliver a data driven culture by assisting in the development, setting, and actioning upon of KPI's throughout the business.
  • Provide senior leaders in the business with actionable recommendations through a range of analytical tools.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience using SQL in a BI environment (preferably BigQuery and Tableau).
  • Web analytics knowledge (Segment, Google Analytics) is a strong asset.
  • Experience working in Gambling/Gaming is an advantage but a demonstratable desire to break into the industry will be considered.
  • Knowledge of Python is beneficial but not essential. Time is allocated for development of these skills.
  • Proven track record of analytical curiosity, creativity and innovation in the face of business problems is essential.
  • Persuasive communicator that can ensure that insight is not just delivered but is actioned upon.

What can we offer?

  • Performance bonus
  • Private Healthcare scheme (ability to opt into scheme from day 1 of employment)
  • Enhanced Family Leave - Maternity, Shared Parental & Adoption Leave: up to 6 months at full pay and 6 months at half pay. Paternity leave: up to 4 weeks at full pay
  • Subsidised gym membership
  • Virgin Tribe – access to exclusive Virgin offers and experiences
  • Life Assurance (x3 salary)
  • Contributory Pension Plan
  • Festival summer and cracking Christmas parties
