JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinates and maintains a highly-Virtualized VMware Environment Focused on: Active Directory, DHCP, Windows terminal servers, Storage and Backup solutions. Provides technical support for hospital servers and associated hardware. Actively monitors the network and server infrastructure to proactively address potential problems before they become an issue. Ensures the reliability and integrity of the hospital’s data storage and backup systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides for continual reliability of the technical infrastructure by monitoring and maintaining Virtual, Backup, and Storage environments.
• Approaches problems analytically, using good judgment, common sense, and technical knowledge when problem solving.
• Maintains all system backups. Ensures the integrity of the backup and periodically validates backup process
• Promptly evaluates and applies patches to correct known security vulnerabilities
• Directly engages with various technology vendors that provide products and services to the organization.
• Maintains infrastructure documentation
• Participate in system disaster recovery tests, in accordance with company policy, to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Provides security risk analysis of the hospital infrastructure
• Provides backup support for all technical staff
• Contributes to the productivity and efficient operation of the department through skills transfer, continued professional growth and self-education of new technologies.
• Manages projects as assigned by the Technology Manager.
• Monthly on-call (Weekends/Evenings)
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Education Level:

Bachelors of Science in an Information Technology related field with 2 years of experience or

Associates Degree in an Information Technology related field and 4 years of experience.

Experience Requirement:

Extensive understanding of Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019, SAN Storage Administration (Cohesity, Dell EMC, HPE, NETapp), VMware virtualization, Data Backup solutions (vRanger, Commvault, Veeam). Basic understanding of configuration, installation, testing, and maintenance of Cisco networking equipment such as routers and switches.

WORKING CONDITIONS: EXPORESURE CATEGORY III
