Job description
The internal IT Supervisor is responsible for the continuous running of IT equipment throughout the SDC Group of Companies (currently London, Birmingham and Barcelona). He or she will be located in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK. SDCG has a user base of 55 - 65 persons in a mixed environment of Mac and Windows devices, along with 3D printers, CNC machines and other devices such as phones, tablets and imaging devices. There are two windows based servers and six managed NAS servers. The IT Supervisor’s task will include: · Keep servers online and maintained (Windows Server 2019, MDM and Apple Business Manager) · Maintain detailed asset lists · Manage equipment maintenance schedules · Software installation (remote and local) · Keeping accurate logs of software licenses · Setting up new user accounts and profiles · Providing end user support including remote support for (currently) London and Barcelona · Maintaining the physical network infrastructure · Running, logging and securing regular data backups · Maintaining and developing OneDrive integration · Monitoring user storage procedures and ensuring all data is stored accurately as indicated in the companies’ global operations procedures. · Implementing operations safety and providing protection against intrusions and leaks. *Key skills* · Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation · Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security · Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and exchange · Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks · Highly organized and detail-oriented · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Additional skills · Kandji, Jamf, Intune · Windows server 2019
