HIE systems are vital in delivering our services. Do you have strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach when dealing with different stakeholders? The preferred base for the role is Inverness or Stornoway, however you can work from any HIE office location.
Whilst there will be a requirement to attend the office, we have a flexible approach to working and can consider hybrid working for applicants based at any of HIE office locations. THE ROLE
This is a key role, providing on the ground support and feedback for the development of policies and process improvements. You will work alongside the Information System Manager to help ensure HIE has access to secure and effective information systems.
You will be working closely with HIE System Owners, who administer various IT systems across the organisation, and key IT service suppliers to support the day to day running and integrity of these systems.
As the Information Systems Officer you will ensure that all systems adhere to various security standards and policies and follow both HIE's IS Strategy and its overall strategy. You will also be responsible for the implementation and testing of Disaster Recovery Scenarios.
THE PERSON
You will be an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain working relationships in a complex stakeholder environment. Working collaboratively to manage conflicting priorities, you will have the ability to influence stakeholders and colleagues.
Ideally having some practical experience of dealing with cyber security issues, you will also have project management experience, report writing skills and good attention to detail.
