Lancashire Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) provides expertise in the design and delivery of well-designed clinical interventional studies.
Within the CTU is a bespoke information and data system facility to support delivery of data collection, storage and analysis processes within trials and studies. This post is entry level, with supported mentoring and training, and the opportunity to gain experience within a clinical research environment whilst contributing to day-to-day processes.
This post involves administration, maintenance and development of clinical data systems including web-based randomisation systems. The post-holder is expected to demonstrate flexibility and commitment to the University, mission statement, policies and development plans.
This is an exciting development opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level candidate with relevant qualifications. The successful applicant will be a motivated individual with knowledge of modern programming languages, software development frameworks and data modelling techniques developed throughout their studies and/or recent working experience in an IT focused role.
A levels in a related subject (e.g. Computer Science or an IT subject), or equivalent work experience are essential to this role as well as analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively as an individual and part of a team and excellent communication skills.
