Role summary/purpose of job The Information Security Technology Analyst is responsible for ensuring the continued operation of critical systems during disruptive events such as natural disasters, cyber-attacks, or other emergencies. The role involves assessing critical technologies to ensure they are: Configured to be resilient;Supporting documentation is up-to-date and appropriate;Backups are effective; andBusiness continuity plans are being developed and are routinely tested. Department The Information Security Group is responsible for the firm’s information and cyber security Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Develop, maintain, and update business continuity plans, policies, and procedures Identify and assess potential risks and threats to business operations and technology infrastructure Conduct business impact analysis and risk assessments to determine critical systems, applications, and data Design and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure the availability and integrity of critical data and systems Coordinate and conduct disaster recovery testing exercises, including tabletop exercises and live simulations Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve the resilience of business operations Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective communication and coordination during emergency situations Provide training and support to end-users on business continuity and disaster recovery procedures and protocols Key Requirements Experience in system design and configuration analysis / testing Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST, or ITIL Experience with disaster recovery tools and technologies, including backup and recovery, replication, and high availability solutions Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Desirable Certification in business continuity planning or disaster recovery (e.g., CBCP, MBCP, DRCP) is preferred but not required.
