Information Security Analyst

- Be responsible for reviewing and monitoring security alerts
- Review all security notifications (Email, logs, alerts) and triage, escalate and or close
- Analyze reported phish, scan phish and then expunge/purge
- Keep abreast of the latest relevant security advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities for distribution to relevant stakeholders
- Cross-train with System Technolgy and Planning (STP) to enhance skillset
- Lead for Help Desk and end-user endpoint remediation
- Assist in the deployment and support of MS-Defender for endpoints
- Assist with the rollout of backup – Antivirus and Encryption project
- Assist in the creation of security awareness presentation for the community
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in direct full-time information technology work experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to present and explain complex technical topics, problems, alternative solutions to others
- Background in multiple operating Systems
- Information security evolves rapidly, and no single person is expected to possess every characteristic on this list. A curious mind, an ability to think about the rules and how others may attempt to break them, and a willingness to learn are the most important traits
