Overview:
Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join the Information Security team in Raleigh, NC.
As an Information Security Analyst, you will be an integral member of the Information Security team. This role requires someone who is technical, possesses an advanced understanding of security technologies, and takes a proactive approach to defending against cyber incidents. You will assist with all aspects of information security management, particularly in security initiatives, monitoring/responding to escalations, responding to audits, training staff, and collaborating with IT team members and security partners.
Responsibilities:- Provide consultation services and policy review with regards to firewall policy change requests, including potential workarounds to meet business needs in a secure manner
- Analyze findings from security monitoring systems to identify and respond to potential security incidents
- Stay current on the evolving threat landscape and necessary security responses through ongoing participation in the security community and trainings
- Identify and execute on opportunities to automate internal, cloud, and platform security controls
- Maintain solutions related to an array of network security technologies. Some may include but not limited to, Zero-Trust architectures, cloud and container security, DNS Security, network access control, digital experience management, and others
- Create documentation to ensure appropriate operational process and procedures are followed in the event of business impacting incidents or issues
- 0+ years of work in related technical security roles, such as, firewall administration, endpoint protection solutions, and incident response, or Cloud security
- Bachelor or Associates degree in Information Technology or Cyber Security
- Desired vendor certification(s): Cisco, Palo Alto, Microsoft, GIAC, or ISC2
- Good understanding of common TCP/IP architecture, principles, operations, and controls
- Strong understanding of basic protocols used by the internet, such as HTTP(S), DNS, TLS
- Understanding of common network services (web, mail, FTP, etc.), network vulnerabilities, and network attack patterns
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
- Solid critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
