Job description
As the Associate IT Security Analyst- Incident Response, you will be part of the cyber security team and contributing to incident response investigations. You will Perform Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) monitoring and tuning. Location preference is Chicago, IL or Battle Creek, MI.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Participating in proactive threat hunting and the remediation of security vulnerabilities.- Contributing to global risk metrics and key performance indicators to assess the overall effectiveness of the global threat response program and identify improvement opportunities.
- Contributing to the review of new trends and proposing changes that will enhance the overall security posture; including the definition of new incident response and forensic tool requirements.
- Upholding the highest level of confidentiality.
- Serving as the escalation point for the Level 1 SOC and collecting and preparing security information and event metrics.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Experience with Microsoft Defender for endpoint or equivalent products.- Experience with defender for office and URL filtering technologies like Zscaler, Websense or Netskope
- Experience with malware reverse engineering concepts
- Recent experience working in a security event monitoring/incident response or working in Security operations center (soc)
- Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR)
- Experience with common scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Relevant professional information security/technology certification(s) including but not limited to GCIH, GIAC, CEH, CISSP, CCNA, OSCP, CISSP
