About the role and our team
The Information Commissioner is the independent regulator responsible for promoting and enforcing compliance with the Island's information rights legislation. This is a key role in the Islands community where you will uphold the public's information rights, independently of Tynwald and the Isle of Man Government.
You will be head of a small team where your specialist expertise in privacy, and upholding the rights of the public in access to Government information, will be vital in the protection of the personal data processed in the Island, as an effective regulator for the purposes of compliance with International standards, ensuring that the Island remains an adequate jurisdiction for the purposes of sharing of information with other adequate jurisdictions.
