Information Assistant (Welcome Desk)
We are seeking a part-time Information Assistant to work on the Ground Floor Welcome Desk of The Sir Duncan Rice Library, providing a customer-focused, front line welcome and information service to users of, and visitors to the University Library based on the University’s Old Aberdeen Campus.

The Information Assistant’s duties involve the provision of a high quality, professional, friendly and knowledgeable Welcome Desk service including welcoming users of and visitors to the building; dealing with user and visitor enquiries about the services, facilities, opening hours, access to and membership of the University Library; issuing visitor and access passes; assisting with the management of room bookings; managing the admission of group parties to the building; promoting University and local educational, cultural and other events and activities; and generally managing and organising the Welcome Desk and liaising with other sections of the University Library.
Experience of effectively dealing with the public is essential and you must have a good general standard of education. You will be expected to provide a high standard of customer care, work as part of a team and be responsive to the public, all of which are essential.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 3 salary scale, £22,681 - £25,138 per annum, pro rata with placement according to qualifications and experience.

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidates will be required to live and work in the UK. There is no opportunity for homeworking in this role.
