Background
Library Services provides a dedicated, professional and responsive service across the three campuses of City, University of London. Our collections of print and online resources support the teaching and research activities of the institution. Our printed collections consist of around 250,000 books with over 25,000 online journals and over 1600 study spaces available in our libraries.
Responsibilities
We are seeking to recruit an Information Assistant to join our Library Services team. The role will be based at the Northampton Square Library site within the Academic Services team.
The role involves a combination of supporting library users at our busy service points together with supporting the Academic Services team in the development, delivery and promotion of Library Services.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering customer focused services, with experience of enquiry-based work. They will have excellent communication skills and be capable of working in a team environment without close supervision. Familiarity with a range of office software as well as the capacity to work efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail is expected.

Subject to agreement, relevant Professional Services roles may be undertaken in a hybrid way. This involves a combination of working on campus and at home each week.
