You’ll be given the opportunity to mentor and influence direction on many initiatives that require data and supporting sustainable transformation.

You’ll be part of intuitive change initiative that will support our key priorities and driving evidence-based decision making with data at the heart of it. This will be achieved through informing several key workstreams that Northumberland County Council have identified as ‘BEST Working’ that drive the highest priorities corporately.

BEST aims to support seven these key workstreams:

  • Best Services to Customers.
  • Best Value for Money.
  • Best in Class Commissioning.
  • Best Use of Resources.
  • Best Use of Assets.
  • Best Use of Technology.
  • Best Talent and Opportunities.

You’ll work within the Transformation and Resources section and work closely with our Human Resources / Organisational Development areas and BEST Project Delivery Team. You will utilise and engineer data to deliver a comprehensive variety of primarily workforce data at high-quality standards that open new opportunities by ensuring data interoperability and supporting a variety of engaging visualisations for Northumberland County Council.

Full details can be found in the attached job description and person specification.

About you:

You’re able to demonstrate your passion for data and understand key components of data, business intelligence, governance, insight and data analytics that will drive actionable insight to key areas of the organisation.

You are someone who cares about building great teams and who wants to see others succeed.

You are comfortable working with a team and individually to solve challenges that ultimately allow us to progress and enhance new and existing approaches and strategies. The work will improve how we work with data across the data lifecycle.
