We are currently searching for a highly skilled and experienced Quality Informatics Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Informatics Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clinical data through your in-depth knowledge of structured EHR data and clinical terminology.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the highest standards of data quality and reliability. You will be expected to review and validate structured EHR data, identifying any discrepancies or inconsistencies, and taking the necessary steps to resolve them. Your attention to detail and analytical expertise will be critical in analyzing and interpreting healthcare data, providing valuable insights and recommendations to improve overall data quality.
Collaboration will be a key aspect of this position, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement effective strategies and solutions for enhancing data quality. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to effectively communicate your findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in informatics and a deep understanding of clinical terminologies and code systems. You should also possess a solid grasp of the latest industry standards and regulations surrounding healthcare data management.

Clinical experience and/or robust knowledge of clinical terminology- Knowledge of and familiarity with structured EHR data
- Familiarity with clinical terminology and code systems such as ICD-10, LOINC, SNOMED-CT, MEDCIN, CPT, HCPCS, RxNorm, NDC, and others
- Familiarity with UMLS and Value Set Authority Center
- Familiarity with clinical quality measures
- Health Information Management certification or equivalent preferred (RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS, etc.)
- Utilizes technical coding expertise to review ingested EHR data to abstract and map information to relevant codes and clinical quality measures for medical specialties such as behavioral health and rehabilitation.
Additional Information
The position will report to the Senior Director of Strategy and Analytics and support the Data Science team. This is a temporary contract position with approximately 10-15 hours of work per week for approximately 4 months.
