We are looking for a talented Industrial Engineering Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Darlington.
This is a permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
Salary is £30,351 – £37,055 per annum depending on skills and experience.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- To work as part of the Industrial Engineering team to support the day to day safety, quality and production issues at Darlington Engine Plant (DEP), ensuring cost is adhered to for department budgets.
- To provide comprehensive administrative support and assistance to the department.
- Working alongside the Industrial Engineers, Continuous Improvements, Manufacturing Engineering Team & Production Operators to ensure key department measures are achieved on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Able to assist in writing manufacturing procedures in proper sequence which are followed correctly by all approved stakeholders to establish continuity in processes and standardization.
- Extracts insights from data by identifying relationships and patterns through use of a suite of data exploration and data visualization techniques to understand the underlying structure of the data and enable sound conclusions upon model building.
- To create cycle-time charts to illustrate key bottleneck areas.
- Assist in Safety and Quality changes to ensure cycle-times are still capable.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- IMS certification. Formal Lean methods Training
- Engineering BTEC/ GCSE (advantageous).
- Experience working in high volume manufacturing / Assembly environment.
- Understanding of Ergonomic Fundamentals identifying practical methods of implementation.
- Knowledge and understanding of Line Balancing
