Position Name: Regional Manager Industrial Engineering
Location: Troy, Michigan
Responsibilities:
- In observance of HBPO North America’s vision, mission, and quality policy, fostering the company’s values of entrepreneurship, network synergies & cooperation, focus, process control, and within the budgetary constraints to act in close collaboration with the President of HBPO North America and the Global Director IE.
- Management of industrial engineering activities and team: Supervise, coach, mentor, build-up, and efficiently lead the IE Department in the region North America in close coordination with the Corporate Program Management Function. The scope includes existing plants in Mexico, USA and Canada, the regional US headquarters, and future plants in the Americas region. Plan all industrial activities together with program management. Plan budgetary and personnel resources.
- Create, implement, train to, enforce and continuously improve IE systems, procedures, documentation, reporting, gate reviews and performance mea surement up to and including change management
- Monitor progress, initiate and clearly prioritize actions for industrial engineering teams.
- Provide resources, tools and support to help meet all program and production launch deliverables including timing, financials, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, morale and safety
- Actively participate in risk anticipation/ mitigation and in problem solving activities with program managers, within program teams, and at all program interfaces with customers, suppliers and partners
- Create, optimize and compare module assembly, molding concepts and sequencing concepts including but not limited to assembly lines and independent assembly cells for front-end modules. Ensure smooth product launches
- Ensure efficient, targeted usage of financial and human resources in all IE activities. Reduce waste in all programs and launch processes and activities
- Support both Sales & Engineering in any acquisition activities and be active part of customer interfaces where requested
- Support in close collaboration with FC the preparation of the business plan and rolling forecasts for the North American plants (existing & planned new one) up to and including the related CTL, P&L estimates & investment plan
- Lead, plan and execute special assignments from the President of HBPO North America and/ or the Global Director IE
- Has the authority and obligation to stop production in case unsafe working conditions are observed. Has the obligation to notify the Director IO and the President for Safety related matters requiring immediate attention. Oversee and implement all related safety procedures and policies to ensure zero injuries.

Profile Required:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Management of Business Administration or equivalent
- MS or BS in Engineering preferred
- Minimum 10 years experience in Industrial Engineering of which 5+ years automotive industry
- Of which minimum 3 years in a leadership role including personnel supervision, preferably multi-site
- Of which minimum 3 years in a production and/ or international environment, with interest for and hands-on approach to production activities
Skills & Abilities:
- Very organized, strong analytical skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills, mediation skills
- Entrepreneurial experience and high motivation to create, implement, enforce and continuously improve cross-functional business processes and standards together with other departments and other sites
- High motivation to support steady business growth
- Experience in a multi-cultural environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $145,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
