One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime – either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Our specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, expert advice, support and understanding to help families care for their loved one. Every day, Admiral Nurses help families up and down the country to have the best life possible for as long as possible. About the role We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as a valued member of our ambitious Individual Giving team. You’ll play a key role in our fundraising by supporting the day-to-day operations of the Individual Giving (IG), Legacy, and In Memory team. This is a great opportunity if you are interested in being part of an innovative and empowering team working to make sure that no one has to face dementia alone whilst developing your career in fundraising. Your key tasks will involve responding to inquiries from various channels, such as phone, email, social media, and print. You’ll also be responsible for thanking our donors, compiling campaign results, recording invoices, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our supporters. Additionally, you’ll work on our telemarketing campaigns, communicating with supporters, listening to calls, and providing valuable feedback to our agencies. You’ll have a positive attitude and proactive approach. You will have strong administration skills ideally with experience of using databases, and an understanding or experience of delivering a high standard of customer service. You will be a great communicator and bring strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the passion and ability to build relationships with both colleagues and supporters.
