Job description
We are looking to recruit sessional Self-Employed Social Workers to work with children and young people in cases where NYAS has been appointed by the courts to represent a child/children in private law proceedings; this challenging but fascinating role involves working in tandem with a lawyer from NYAS.
NYAS is looking for ISWs who have the ability to combine direct work with children and families with the forensic demands of considering the evidence and reporting to the court; this role involves reporting wishes and feelings as well as a detailed assessment of the child/children’s circumstances for the court and making recommendations as to their best interests.
You must hold a social work qualification, current HCPC registration and have substantial experience of face-to-face work with children and young people.
