We are looking for a confident and energetic full-time Housekeeper for a high-net-worth family in Berkshire. Duties will include general cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas as well as laundry and ironing. You should also feel comfortable cleaning antiques, chandeliers, silver, and brass including the maintenance of fine art, carpets, and antique furnishings. You should be highly discreet, trustworthy, and be able to remain calm and professional at all times. With a kind and caring disposition, you will provide a warm and welcoming approach to any guests at the property and be a pleasure to have around. This could be a live-in or out position, typically working from 09:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday, with an hour’s paid lunch break - some evening and weekend work will be required when the principals are in residence. If you choose to live in, accommodation will be provided on-site (at a very subsidized cost) and family and pets are welcome. You may also be required to travel to the principals’ other residences occasionally, within the UK.
Additional benefits include a free daily lunch, excellent pension (15% with no contributions required by the employee), private health insurance, 25 days of annual leave with annual increases (plus bank holidays), a retail discount scheme, as well as other fantastic perks.
