We are an agile team so you’ll spend some time in the office in Dartford, some time out and about on your patch, as well as having the opportunity to work at home for some of the time.

For this particular role, you will have your own patch of leasehold and freehold customers who require support and guidance with their service charge accounts. Working alongside our Income Maximisation Officers and making connections with external support agencies, you will be able to provide your customers with the best possible financial support with regards to their service charge account, but ultimately to empower your customers to take control and manage the situations themselves.

About Moat:

Our financial strength puts us in a good position to rise to challenges and plan for the future. We are about to release our new corporate strategy, so it’s an exciting time to join Moat! This involves being bold and ambitious, investing in new and existing homes; putting safety and quality first. We also deliver for and with our customers through our new Customer Engagement strategy, which will help us to deliver the requirements of the Social Housing White Paper.

Our Team Vision: To empower our customers to pay on time every time.

What you'll be passionate about:

  • Providing excellent customer service and building rapport with our customers to support and empower them to manage their rent and service charge accounts
  • Your performance, working alongside your team to maximise our revenue allowing us to continue to build new homes as well as refurbish our current homes for our customers
  • Working towards individual and team targets to make a difference to our customers’ lives; you may not realise it, but your support could turn someone’s life around!

What you'll need to show us:

  • Your solid experience of Income Recovery or similar work, with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Prior experience manging leasehold and freehold accounts, completing land registry searches, and applying for money judgements would be desirable.
  • Strong awareness of the benefit system and the legislation relating to income collection/debt management
  • Your professionalism and organisation skills, these are crucial when preparing and presenting in Court
  • Your excellent attention to detail with a can-do attitude; you’re a natural people-person with the ability to build effective relationships with your residents, your team and the wider business
  • That you are an effective communicator with a warm, friendly, inviting and engaging tone of voice, with the ability to adapt your approach to each customer
  • Your all-round IT skills as you will be required to use our customer database (CRM) and use the Microsoft Office suite (particularly spreadsheets) on a daily basis.

Hours and Terms:

  • We have a permanent contract for 35 hours per week
  • You will be required to work on a rota covering business hours of either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm
  • You must have a full driving licence and use of a vehicle for work as this role requires court attendance and home visits and attendance at local hubs can be required.

In return, you will receive:

  • Salary up to £34,188 per annum (offered dependent upon experience)
