Are you looking for a new challenge? Then we have an exciting opportunity for an Inbound Development Manager to join our Inbound Planning Team. This role will be responsible for implementing the plan to build the future state capability as part of our end-to-end programme. While being responsible for running a sub-set of processes to tactically improve performance in the inbound flow through better top-down (dept planning) / bottom-up (line level planning) reconciliation.

An outline of what you'll be involved in:-

  • Responsible for implementing the plan to build the future state capability that will be a hybrid of landing continuous improvement in current processes. As well as step changes through new and improved processes/enabling MI and IT
  • Working across a range of business partners including End 2 End transformation programme, supply chain & logistics, sourcing, commercial operations and merchandising
  • The role will support the Head of Inbound to work as part of our e2e supply chain transformation to ensure the future state capabilities are embedded in future state technology as part of the e2e roadmap
  • Support the Head of Inbound to define and then build the capability to review “top-down department level intake plans” vs “allowable intake to deliver the commercial stock targets”, vs “live intake” and vs “network capacity”. To determine opportunities to increase/decrease upstream stock flows on rolling 6 month horizon
  • Use that capability (which is expected to start basic and evolve over time) to provide the visibility of risks/opportunities. Then facilitate processes to control the actual flow of stock to hit the commercial stock targets and fit within the UK DC capacity
  • The role will incorporate controls to improve the mix of UK DC stock to deliver the sales plan. Using line level “permission to ship” exception reporting and insights provided to them, then marry the bottom-up line level mix of stock with top-down allowable intake volumes. Then make trade-offs that drive better line level mix within the overall department level stock targets
  • The role will co-ordinate processes to scenario model sales up-side/down-side, the impact on planned DC stock covers and strategies to manage the stock flow to enable that sales plan

We are looking for some who has previous experience developing and mentoring teams to build highly motivated talent for the future of our supply chain function. and managing stock flows in a multi-channel retail environment, manufacture or similar. They will also have implementing planning systems, the role will collaborate with other teams to build the future capability. In addition, they will need:

  • Collaboration skills are key to driving collaboration between Supply Chain (Planning and Operations) and the BU Commercial teams, Sourcing and the SOs.
  • Analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving
