A exciting opportunity has become available within the Unipart Security Department for a Licensed Security Officer to join our in-house team at Bagington, near Coventry.Successful applicants will be guaranteed a minimum of 48 hours per week (providing an annual basic salary of £28,993.54) and work a rotational shift pattern of days, nights & weekends.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Provide a courteous, professional and welcoming atmosphere for all clients, their representatives and visitors to the company.Provide security for 'People, Product & Property' at all times.Conduct regular searches of site staff, contractors and/or visitors.Conduct regular internal and external site patrols.Conduct gatehouse duties – seal checks, booking vehicles in/out on PC, vehicle searches, communicating site rules to drivers.Reporting of incidents and completing relevant reportsReport any H&S breaches and/or concerns.CCTV monitoring and footage reviews / investigations.Assist with fire alarm tests and site evacuations.Respond to fire and/or intruder alarms where required.Issue and control staff and visitor access cards.Meet the requirements of the site Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.Key attributes for this role include:A professional approach and attitude.Honesty and integrity.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A smart appearance.Excellent timekeeping and reliability.The ability to work alone or part of a team.The ability to follow professional boundaries and instructions.Basic computer skills (send/receive emails, data entry).A good level of physical fitness (ability to carry out patrols and stand for long periods).Essential requirements for this role are:A valid SIA license.A 5-year checkable history.In return we offer:An in-house Security position where you’ll be directly employed by Unipart Group (not a contract guarding company)Access to all Unipart Group staff benefits which include: company pension, childcare vouchers, maternity & paternity leave, sick pay, wellbeing assistance, high street discounts.Guaranteed hours and overtime if requiredFull site induction and ongoing trainingInternal promotional opportunitiesFull company uniformCareer development through Unipart's “Gate to Great”’ training and development program.
