Job description
Polypipe Civils & Green Urbanisation design, develop and manufacture thermoplastic piping systems for civils and infrastructure projects, with the industry’s widest choice of water management, surface water drainage, sewer and cable protection systems.
Role: We are currently seeking an in-house recruiter that will be responsible for all Recruitment related duties across WMS (Water Management Solutions), reporting into the Head of HR for Civils & Green Urbanisation.
This is a 12 month fixed-term position with the potential to extend or become permanent.
The role is responsible for attracting suitable candidates for assigned open job positions and assessing their relevant knowledge and experience. The recruiter will remain up-to-date on the resourcing requirements across WMS, and act as an advocate for new and established employees. The successful applicant will work with line managers from across the business to design job descriptions, source candidates through databases and social media, conduct interviews, and complete Workday processes effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Working with Line managers to understand hiring needs and developing job descriptions and advert specifications.
- Collaborating with hiring managers to compile a list of capability requirements, challenging personal and institutional biases.
- Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
- Conducting screening interviews and sorting through application to assess applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
- Coordinating interviews and managing candidate communication effectively.
- Completing Workday processes for recruitment and new hires including background checks and reference checking.
- Promoting the company's reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity, through external communication and referral activity.
- Keeping up-to-date on current employment legislation and regulations, and enforcing them across the Group.
- Providing updates on resourcing insights and talent market activity
- Completing Talent mapping as directed by the Group Talent Director
- Attendance and representing the Group at job fairs and hiring events as required.
Requirements:
- The ability to conduct different types of interviews.
- Experience with recruiting for Operational positions (manufacturing roles is preferred)
- Experience with recruitment processes and databases, in particular LinkedIn and Indeed.
- Experience of using HRIS system – ideally Workday.
- The ability to design and implement recruiting strategies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good decision-making skills.
- A working knowledge of employment law and legislation
Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8:30am until 5:00pm.
Location: You will be based at our Horncastle office with the flexibility of hybrid working 1 day per week (to suit business needs) and will be required to travel to our Loughborough site occasionally.
