Location - Edinburgh or Winchester
We now have an opportunity for an experienced recruiter with experience in the Energy sector to join us on a 14 months fixed term contract to be based from our Winchester office (on a hybrid working basis) with travel as needed.

What's the role?
This is a new and exciting “hands on” recruitment role, working alongside our dedicated and talented in-house recruitment and wider HR team. You will work across both our core and diversified business lines across our offices in London, Winchester, Cambridge and Edinburgh, and by working with Team Leaders, Managers and Partners, you will support and advise them throughout the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a robust but agile process that successfully attracts and delivers high calibre talent to complement our already highly respected teams.
What will you be doing?
- Owning the end-to-end recruitment process across your designated client groups, from pipeline to the point of offer and contract negotiation
- Acting as an employer brand ambassador for LCP and LCP Delta, attracting a diverse candidate range and delivering a first-class candidate experience at all stages of the recruitment process
- Advising hiring managers on market trends and insights to help guide and steer resourcing approaches and promote a “recruitment matters” philosophy across the business
- Building knowledge of the competitor market, identifying, and engaging with exceptional talent in the marketplace and developing relationships within the industry to ensure that you are aware of competitor trends/conditions of service/benefits/salaries to ensure that LCP always remain competitive
- Working closely with the wider HR team and hiring managers/People Leaders at all levels, including senior stakeholders, to ensure a detailed understanding of resourcing needs
- Pro-actively source talent for a selection of vacancies using a range of channels (Linked In, CV databases, Networking, Universities, agencies, etc.) building the pipeline with a focus on direct recruitment in line with the recruitment strategy, reducing agency spend and promoting and supporting initiatives to encourage staff to use LCP’s internal employee referral programme
- Be an active contributor and influencer in the recruitment process, providing best practice advice to hiring managers, advising on appropriate selection methods, interviews, interview standards and influencing decisions
- Update and/or build a comprehensive suite of recruitment and assessment tools and evolve as and when required
- Work with T&D (Training & Development) to support the delivery of relevant training courses for the business with the aim of strengthening the skill set of those involved in recruitment
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with partner recruitment agencies, negotiate preferential terms and evolve the PSL as and when required
- Maintaining the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for all roles to ensure accurate reporting
- Supporting international recruitment as and when needed
What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for?
- A passion for, and experience of recruitment in the Energy sector, either in-house or in agency, with the capability to assist with recruitment across other business lines as needed, with a positive, a can-do client service approach
- Demonstrable experience of applying best practice to end to end resourcing from candidate attraction to selection
- The ability to think differently when traditional routes are not working
- An excellent track record in the use of direct sourcing methods
- Experience using a range of recruitment technologies including applicant tracking systems
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures surrounding recruitment along with knowledge of recruitment legislation including the Right to Work and the Equality Act
- Enthusiastic and collaborative team player with a strong drive and ambition to create a positive work environment and to deliver results
- A commercial and forward-thinking approach as to what excellence in recruitment and onboarding looks like from a prospective employee and business perspective, alongside a keen interest in employer branding and an insatiable appetite to promote our business via appropriate external mediums
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the gravitas to work with, and alongside, a broad range of people
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, being able to generate a quality pipeline of candidates under tight time constraints
- Excellent attention to detail with ability to work independently
- The ability to adapt your style and think on your feet to suit the audience
- Proactive with drive to deliver results
- Comprehensive Word and Excel knowledge
