Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Unipart Logistics Security Department for an Assistant Security Team Leader to join our award winning in-house team in Nuneaton.

Successful applicants will be guaranteed a minimum of 50 hours per week, working 1400 hours to midnight Monday to Friday.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supervision of staff, training, schedules, ensuring duties are completed
  • Providing an onsite, professional security presence.
  • Providing a deterrent to criminal activity, theft and anti-social behaviour
  • Providing protection for customers, property and staff
  • Carry out patrols and search and emergency procedures including report writing
  • Provide a professional and exceptional service to maintain the security on site
  • Support the site Security Team Leader & Manager with day to day operations of the site and the officers on the allocated site.
  • Collate and produce reports as necessary.
  • Be a positive influence in driving and promoting a culture of engagement and collaboration ensuring the working environment is challenging, rewarding and fun.
  • To collate reports and provide analysis of data from the site as and when required.
  • Innovatively and proactively identify ways to improve the site security.
  • Understand site SLA’s and ensure compliance identifying / escalating areas of non-compliance.
  • Manage resource planning for the site escalating additional manning requirements as required.
  • Collate and escalate all Health & Safety issues reported out of hours.
  • Be conversant with and ensure SOPs are adhered to.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Group Security Management Team.

Essential requirements for this role are:

  • A valid SIA license
  • A 5-year checkable history
  • Previous Management/Supervisory experience
