We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our friendly team within our Performance and Assurance department. In this role you will be supporting the Inspection and Evidence Based Policing team and it will provide a great opportunity to experience different areas of our business from co-ordination of recommendations from inspection and assurance work, to supporting assurance projects and evidence based policing research.
You will be involved in co-ordinating recommendations from inspections and audits, supporting assurance work by co-ordinating tasks and compiling data and actions, as well as supporting our strategic support for problem solving.
This role is 28 hours per week working flexible Monday – Friday.
In this role, your main responsibilities will be:
- Maintaining accurate records and undertake necessary research to provide management information and data, as and when required.
- Supporting the promotion of performance and assurance priorities throughout the organisation, disseminating best practice and establishing good working relationships internally and externally.
- Supporting key department specialist administrative and coordination functions, such as His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS - www.justiceinspectorates.gov.uk) inspection fieldwork and monitoring of recommendations, internal and external research supporting evidence based policing as well as pieces of assurance.
- Arranging and attending meetings, as and when required.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
- Experience of displaying excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with experience of dealing with a wide variety of customers.
- The ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.

This role has been identified as a blended role.
The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises. The successful applicant will have the option to discuss working arrangements with their line manager. All applicants must reside within the UK.
