Job description
We are a manufacturer of orthopedic components/materials manufactured to high specifications for the medical industry. Our main focus is to supply high quality medical products to exacting customer and international specifications, supported by our technical department which is capable of testing polymeric materials to the highest standards. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Customer Services Department.
Key Accountable Areas:
- Oversee and direct import and export operations in compliance with tariff and customs regulations
- Plan and oversee the flow of goods for international and domestic traffic
- Calculate duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported and imported
- Oversee preparation of documents; coordinates other paperwork and documentation necessary to comply with tariffs and customs regulations
- Serves as a liaison between agents, brokers, shippers, and warehouse facilities
- Expedites shipping of goods into and out of the country
- Resolves customs delays
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- 3 GCSE (level C or above) to include Mathematics and English or working towards a NVQ level 2/3 in Import/Export Operations or equivalent qualifications
- Previous experience in import/export operations required
Hours of Employment:
- Monday to Thursday, 08.30 to 17.00 including breaks, Friday, 08.30 to 13.30 including break
- Due to the nature of the work, you may be expected to be flexible with regards to working hours and breaks to enable the best efficiency and utilisation during the daily period
- Duties and hours may vary dependent upon workload
