Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Import / Export Administrator to join our Supply Chain team in South Shields. This role will be key to providing day to day administration support to ensure the smooth flow of goods, inbound and outbound, through the OPR process and Customs Warehouse. Prepare and maintain a shipment tracker for consignments to the 3PL in the USA, prepare a 13 week intake forecast, and prepare and manage a file structure for shipping documentation received from suppliers destined for the USA, including the preparation of excel format invoices for consolidated shipments from the EU to the USA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of the OPR process, including export documentation, reconciliation of imports to exports, submitting calculations to Customs
- Provide CFSP instructions to Road Freight Hauliers for UK Imports
- Provide Customs Clearance instructions to couriers
- Evaluation and determination of Tariff Code and Country of Origin with ongoing maintenance within the ERP system to ensure it is up to date at all times
- Set up new tariff codes within the ERP system
- Seasonal BOM maintenance for products manufactured in Moldova and Bulgaria
- Resolve Custom Entry queries with couriers and freight agents
- Prepare and maintain shipment schedule for the USA
- Manage and organise shipping documentation for consignments destined for the USA
- Prepare and maintain 13 week intake forecast
- Prepare documentation i.e. excel invoices as required, and work with the Barbour customs partner in the USA, Janel, to ensure the smooth flow of goods.
- Validate and authorise Freight and Courier invoices

Skills and Experience:
- Administration Experience in a fast paced environment
- GCSE English and Mathematics
- Experience of working within an Import/Export department
- Microsoft Office
- Familiar with the use of an ERP system
- Accurate data entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Understanding of a commodity code
