Morgan Stanley Glasgow was established in 2000 with 6 people. Today we have over 2,300 people working in: Operations; Finance; Technology; Fusion and Firm Resilience, Morgan Stanley Fund Services, Internal Audit, Legal and Compliance, Human Resources and Administration.
During 2018 we moved to our new award-winning Glasgow city centre location, to a building that our people helped to design. With the firm’s Workplace Evolution strategy we have developed a new work environment with agile and collaborative spaces. With our new office we have added such services as: a Health Centre (Medical Centre and Gym); All Faith Room; Quiet Room; Restaurant; Improved Accessible bathroom facilities; Gender Neutral Bathroom Facilities and Wudu Bathroom Facilities. We are recruiting for an Analyst to join our UK & Irish Immigration Team. Our team is responsible for advising, supporting and guiding our employees on immigration and right to work options within the UK and Ireland. The team works globally with teams across Human Resources such as Recruitment, Onboarding and International Services as well as collaborating with our HR Business Partners and Business Unit Clients.
As an Analyst, you will support our team to advise our clients, manage visa applications and ensure immigration compliance is maintained at all times.
Your primary responsibilities:
One of the main points of contact for UK and Irish Immigration matters including new hires, international transfers, Campus Programmes and business travellers
Responsibility for helping our team maintain compliance with Firm’s Immigration Sponsor License
Act as a subject matter expert and provide immigration solutions, support and advice as required
Management and execution of own case load and specific ongoing processes, including vendor initiation, review of CoS documents, Right to Work checks, weekly & monthly reporting and SMS updates
Review of vendor invoices
Provide support to the Immigration Manager and HR teams on projects
Support the education and training of HR teams and internal stakeholders across the region to promote the understanding of Immigration policies and processes
Keep informed and up to date with developments in immigration market trends
Skills required
An understanding of the UK’s immigration and right to work principles either as part of a generalist HR role or as a specialist.
- specifically Skilled Worker, Tier 5 and Global Mobility Business visas
Experience in working with HR Systems/Databases
Organised and structured in the way in which you work and capable of delivering against multiple deadlines
An established communicator, in written and verbal formats, who can set clear expectations on time scales for delivery and deadlines.
Strong analytical and data skills with excellent attention to detail
Project management experience
Team player – must be willing to “pitch-in” and assist where necessary
Innovative - the type of person who is continually looking to improve what they do and the way that they do it
Ability to think on their feet
Ability to manage their own workload and prioritise what they do
