Department Profile
The Institutional Equity Division (IED) is a global leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. The Firm’s equity Sales & Trading operations provide liquidity, distribute content, and create product solutions to help our clients generate alpha.
Role Description
The role will have a high focus on both execution of Global cross-asset futures markets and equities across all time zones
Dealing with a continental client base you will be primarily dealing with French speaking clients, language skills are beneficial
Skills Required
Knowledge of ALL rules, regulations, intricacies, cross trade/blocking requirements will be required
Team ethic with constant communication required between Tokyo, HK, London and NY across various desks
Understanding of Global macro trends and Economics required
Well versed on MS Strategy teams research/ideas/themes
Given notional volumes traded, candidate will need to be able to cope under huge intensity, trading multiple Global cross-asset markets whilst still servicing clients during fast markets
Understanding of client money rules and ID markets
Knowledge of client on-boarding requirements both EO and FS
Working knowledge of clearing infrastructure and Matrix platform, whilst insight on margin processing helpful
Technical analysis knowledge helpful
Bloomberg, Carbon, Matrix, Excel all required
Options knowledge required
