ICT Systems Support Officer
We are looking for three ICT Systems Support Officers to support a customer focused software maintenance and support service for a variety of applications across the Council.
You will support customer focussed application support activities, including software upgrades, for in-house developed and third-party systems within the council.
Assist in the provision of any application support and system administration activities in accordance with the SLA.
Assist the Application and Integration Support Engineers in managing all associated Service Desk queues to ensure resolution of issues and problems in accordance with the SLA.
Assist testing services for new developments and major changes, as required by the Lead Application Support Engineer, Senior Systems Admin Officer and Applications Manager.
Advise customers, suppliers and partners on the effective use and operation of supported systems in accordance with the SLA.
Maintain all necessary system documentation to agreed standards.
Cross-train, when necessary, building skill sets in order to develop and support new and existing applications
Support the day-to-day administration of corporate systems
Support the planning and testing of new software releases
To be the first line support for service areas for all corporate systems administration
Support the provision of, or access to, training linked to corporate systems as instructed by the senior systems administrator
Scheduling and provision of reports/data
Carry out all duties with regard to the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy and Health & Safety Regulations.
Any other duties as required by the ICT Lead Application Support Engineer.
Work in accordance with adopted standards, policies and Best Practice procedures.
