About the Role
AI Digital is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Business Analyst to join our growing team to deliver large and complex programmes that support outsourced and bundled operational services to technical and scientific programmes.
On a day-to-day basis you’ll:
- Work with clients, internal or external, to understand their business needs and problems
- Working within the framework of Project Governance the work will typically be during the project scoping, validation or initiation stages, working under the direction and guidance of a Project Manager
- Ensure that business requirements are defined and addressed and relevant solutions are identified and evaluated
- Developing project outputs within the role including Business Cases, Vision Statements or Project Briefs, Project Initiation Documents (PIDs) and more detailed documents referenced within those artefacts
- During implementation, the Business Analyst will be required to do the Impact Analysis on any Project Change Requests that are raised that have the potential to impact scope, requirements or solution
- Post implementation the Business Analyst in conjunction with the project Business Owner will carry out a Business Case assessment to confirm realisation of benefits
- The Business Analyst may also get involved in project implementation, though this is likely to be focussed around prototyping, test specification and user acceptance testing or user training

It would be great if you had experience in:
- Complex Business Process Re-engineering, and Requirements gathering approaches
- Capturing requirements using various approaches and tools
- Facilitating workshops and presenting findings to clients/customers and stakeholders
- A similar role in a Life Science organisation or previous experience working within academia or a research focused facility
- Operational Service Delivery/Operations environment
- Preparing business cases or large bids/tendering
- Working in a customer facing and relationship management role
- Have in-depth knowledge and experience within at least one key business domain; e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Systems Automation
- Are educated to degree level or have relevant industry experience with accreditation with a Business Analysis body
