Job description
As the ICT Service Management Analyst you will lead on all budgetary activities across live services in Strategy, Policy, Digital and Technology (SPD&T), providing advice, support and reporting. You will be responsible for compliance with financial and budgetary procedures, ensuring integrity and strong control with a robust audit trail.
You will support the completion of financial end of year accruals and the management of the purchase order function for Technical Services & Digital Area. You will develop, implement and update internal controls and risk management.
You will lead on budgetary activities for live services across SPD&T; financial sign-off, planning, forecasting, monitoring and reporting. You will support the Senior Service Delivery Manager regarding Service Management activities with the outsourced contracts currently in place.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Managing a series of substantial and significant budgets effectively and ensuring spend supports operational needs.
- Providing high level reporting to CSLs in the Directorate, highlighting any areas of concern and recommending improvements as appropriate.
- Management and reconciliation of purchase orders, invoicing and budget provision.
- Supporting the senior Service Delivery Manager in completing financial end of year accruals.

Person specification
To thrive in this role, you will have experience of working with budgets and with a knowledge of service management. You have experience with complex multi-vendor supply chains, with a combination of internally and externally sourced service provision. You have strong engagement experience with the ability to influence others.
You have excellent time management skills with the ability to manage and filter workflow as well as organise and prioritise workloads to maximise productivity.
There will be development opportunities for you to gain the following qualification, when in post if not already held: ITIL version 4.
Additional Information
There will be occasional travel required with this role to other DVSA locations and to meet with external stakeholders and suppliers, which may include overnight stays.

Interviews are likely to be held 23rd - 26th May 2023.
This interview could be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.
