Job description
A good security methodology approach, analytical ability, and a broad skills base are needed to handle the varied systems and technologies in use in the authority. Currently we are adding new technologies and approaches to meet the ever-increasing challenge of cyber security threats. Looking to the future, the council has identified that meeting these security challenges is strategically essential, thus additional investment and supporting key projects are expected.
You will need to work closely with your team, customers, and other ICT colleagues, receiving and imparting knowledge so that we continue to provide the best service possible to our stakeholders. Often this is a high-pressure environment so you must be able to work independently to business deadlines and have the confidence and experience to use your own initiative to fulfil requests. The ICT department aims to continually improve our services and a desire to innovate and improve is a feature of our staff across all areas.
