Why this role matters
As the IAG Project Planner you will be managing voice (telephony) requests, ranging from setting up the telephony requirements for new sites right up to the cessation of voice circuits and everything in between. This role is technical and hands-on. You will be expected to work with customers to meet their business requirements, arranging for all projects and requests to be completed efficiently. You will be based at the customer site (Heathrow) throughout the week, where you will support British Airways Voice Services. As part of this role, you will become apart of a tight-nit and supportive team of engineers. You will be surrounded by various disciplines, like Data and Networking, whom you can also learn and develop from . As well as this, there may be opportunity to travel, both nationally and internationally.
What you'll be doing
- Telephony configuration, mostly Cisco Call Manager.
- Undertake and update project documentation.
- Manage third party suppliers.
- Work closely with colleagues and wider BT teams.
- Manage customers to obtain their full requirements, support their change requests, and recommend solutions.
The skills you'll need
- Cisco Call Manager Experience is mandatory.
- Customer service skills, so you can affectively explain issues / solutions to non technical customers.
- Strong capacity to self-organise and manage your time.
- Logical thinking and problem solving.
- Prior experience with other telephony solutions.
