Hygiene Team Member

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hygiene Team Member to join the friendly team at our Pontefract site. As a Hygiene Team Member, you'll undertake various essential hygiene activities and routines to ensure that hygiene standards are met in accordance with site, company, legal, BRC, customer requirements and industry best practice.
The working hours for the role are a 3-shift rotation Monday to Thursday 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am and Friday 6am-1pm /1pm-8pm / 8pm-3am (Saturday).

As Hygiene Operative some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Operation of floor scrubbers to ensure corridors, factory floor and other site facilities are clean
- Cleaning of toilet facilities and replenishment of stocks
- Hand washing facilities are cleaned and replenishment of paper towels & soap
- Cleaning of stairwells and walkways
- Responsible for cleaning materials stock control and replenishment
- Emptying bins and disposing of rubbish
- Cleaning of meeting rooms and office facilities
- Cleaning of walls, vents, floors, and locker facilities – In locker rooms
- Cleaning of canteen and kitchen facilities
- External cleaning – clearing of walkways

The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Previous experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing setting
- An understanding of and compliance with work-based instructions and safe working procedures
- A team player who can communicate effectively
- Food Safety and Health & Safety Level 2 (desirable)
- Manual Handling Level 2
- Knowledge of handling chemicals (COSHH Training)
