Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday 8.00 - 16.00

At the site in Berwick Upon Tweed we are looking for a Hygiene Operative.
What does the job entail? As a hygiene operative you will be required to clean the production lines on a fixed schedule, making sure that the food safety standards are met. Cleaning and maintaining the communal facilities such as canteens and toilets. You will be required to support the production line by ensuring that the necessary equipment is clean, sanitised and available upon request. You will be dealing with waste produced on the production line and proper handling of chemicals will be required to clean the line and equipment will be required. You will be responsible for ensuring safety in the workplace and ensuring compliance with all instructions relating to the use and storage of materials and equipment.
Who are we looking for? Previous experience is not required as full training to be provided. We are looking for someone who is able to work in a fast paced environment, have good attention to detail and show willingness to learn. You will be required to work in a cold or warm environment depending on the department. The role requires a good level of physical fitness, as you would be on your feet for most of the day and be handling heavy machinery.
