Role Summary
To support our mission, vision, and team collaborative missions, as a Hygiene Operative your primary purpose is to ensure the factory is kept to a high standard, meets & exceeds food hygiene requirements. Working as a multi skilled hygiene operative you will be part of an effective and efficient hygiene team, delivering high standards of cleaning throughout the site.
The exact duties of a Hygiene Operative depend on the day-to-day taskings, duties include:
- Cleaning of factory cleanroom areas and machinery parts.
- Cleaning of offices and general access areas.
- Laundry duties.
This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working in a fast paced and energised environment. Day-to-day duties can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting. Having a good range of mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing undue strain on your body.
To fulfil the role, you must be a resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
We are looking for pro-active and enthusiastic team player to join our forward thinking and dynamic company. Experience of domestic cleaning and housekeeping, knowledge of health and safety standards, ability to work with cleaning agents safely, and familiarity with sanitary and hygienic regulations is essential for this position. Previous experience working within food manufacturing or other regulated environments is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Due to the nature of the working environment, training requirements & documentation controls, a functional understanding of verbal & written English is essential.
