Job description

Benefits and Wellbeing Specialist

Some careers have more impact than others.

Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and wellbeing.

We are looking to recruit for a Benefits and Wellbeing Specialist.

During the pandemic we saw benefits to allowing more people to work from home (e.g. work-life balance improved). At the same time colleagues have told us that office working is important too because it enables human connection. Our goal is to get the balance right - ensuring we can be at our best and deliver great outcomes, whatever the working environment.

Embedding these changes and moving to hybrid ways of working are part of a big culture moment for the bank. Hybrid working at HSBC means working partly in the office and partly at home or remotely - rather than exclusively in one place or the other. It provides more flexibility around how, when and where we work, guided by the global principles of Customer Focus, Team Commitment and Flexibility.

Through 2022 foundations were laid to support effective hybrid working across the group, spanning technology, workspace and work practices to enable our colleagues to understand what is expected of them. In 2023, this will be embedded further by each GB/GF and market who will be accountable for their own change and enablement strategies with Group Wellbeing providing direction and best practice.

The Benefits and Wellbeing Specialist is accountable for supporting delivery of the agreed runway of activity to design, plan & execute changes that will enable hybrid working.

As the Benefits and Wellbeing Specialist you will:

  • Ensure robust change management and embedding activities are planned, designed, and implemented
  • Help influence HR colleagues to implement the strategy locally across 60+ countries and all of our business lines
  • Support analysis of data to help measure effectiveness and impact of hybrid on the ground
  • Provide guidance to countries and business lines to drive embedding hybrid working across the group
  • Support changes to our existing HR products, services, polices and systems, which are needed to enable hybrid working
  • Ensure interventions are aligned through Human Resources, and our partners in Corporate Services and Technology and continue to focus on changing and embedding healthy hybrid behaviours
  • Be required to work across all areas of Benefits, Wellbeing and Future of Work in line with business needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Proven experience of managing deliveries to an agreed timeline creating, tracking and monitoring action plans at a global or group level is essential
  • Experience of working in a large, global matrixed organisation, responsible for delivery across multiple markets and countries is essential
  • An analytical mindset and knowing how to use data to shape actions and programmes is essential
  • Experience of managing or driving behavioural change within the organisation and encouraging new ways or working is essential
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and comfortable working in an environment with new material and concepts is essential
  • Action orientated approach (focus on outputs and outcomes) having delivered previously at a group or global level

This is a hybrid role with travel to the London office to connect in person.

You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
