Role title: Human Rights Manager
Location: London Paddington
Role purpose:
To drive the development and execution of Vodafone’s approach to human rights issues across the Group and provide expert advice on human rights relating to strategy, policy, risk review, governance, controls, and practice.
To manage the development and delivery of the human rights programmes with the support of local champions to meet our commitments and help ensure Vodafone meets its human rights responsibilities.
To support, develop and lead (where appropriate) engagement with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders to enhance the internal understanding of our responsibilities and commitments and the external understanding of Vodafone's human rights responsibilities and commitments.
With us you will:
- Manage the day-to-day leadership, management, monitoring and oversight of Vodafone Human Rights Policy
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders in Group functions and local markets to drive the development and delivery of Vodafone’s human rights programmes, including meeting Vodafone’s statutory obligations.
- Pro-active horizon scanning of developments in human rights issues, raising these items with senior management and taking appropriate actions as agreed.
- Proactively support engagement with external organisations/stakeholders to enhance understanding of Vodafone’s human rights policies, practices, and programmes
- Work closely with the business on relevant human rights issues and make recommendations from a human rights perspective.
Apply if you have:
- Proven human rights experience extremely desirable but candidates with relevant experience in compliance/legal and with a passion for this topic would also be considered
- Degree level or equivalent with relevant expertise and experience on human rights issues
- Experience in a business or consultancy creating and executing corporate policy and practice to address complex human rights issues
- An excellent written and verbal communicator
- Excellent project management skills, including proven track record of driving complex governance programmes in a fast-moving, constantly changing business environment.
