HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
(Full time, 36 hours per week, through the year)
We are seeking an HR officer to provide generalist HR advice, support and guidance throughout an employee’s life cycle.
Key duties will include:-
- Reviewing and updating internal processes
- Maintain the HR system
- Ensuring all college processes are adhered to, such as sickness and annual leave
- Supporting the appraisal process
- Advising staff and managers
- Providing support as required throughout the recruitment process
The successful candidate will be educated to at least level 3, CIPD qualification desirable.

Salary: Band G, Point 21 - 24, £27,156 - £29,237 per annum

POST: Human Resources Officer
(Full time, 36 hours per week, through the year)
REPORTING TO: HR Manager
Job Summary
To provide high quality professional advice and support to the managers and staff for all HR related matters.
Main Activities
1. Create a suite of document templates.
2. Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate payroll instructions are completed in a timely manner.
3. Provide management information reports.
4. Support the HR Manager in delivering the corporate induction.
5. Develop appraisal sessions for all staff.
6. Lead on the college’s appraisal system.
7. Support other members of the team with staff recruitment.
8. Maintain and update the Single Central Record.
9. Managing & maintain the HR System.
10. Take a key role in developing whole college finishing days.
11. To work closely with managers to improve the HR computation system.
12. Manage and maintain HR email.
13. Work on HR admin and deal with any correspondence.
14. Deal with all HR related statistics for the department, including staff turnover and sickness absence data.
15. Create staff reports for SLT.
16. Taking personal responsibility for supporting, promoting and following all
College policies in relation to health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity and data protection within the scope of the post.
