Job description
About us
Bromley Emergency Training & Research Ltd is a medical training company in London. We have a strong reputation for high quality, professional and innovative training. Our goal is to Improve patient care through high quality medical training.
We are looking for a Human Resources Officer.
The main area of responsibility will be recruitment. There will also be some internal human resources management responsibilities and some general duties as part of the team.
Our training courses rely on freelance expert staff, mostly doctors, who teach for us on their days off. We have about 200 freelancers who work with us. We have a continual need to recruit new freelancers, induct them, coordinate their work schedules and so on. We also need to recruit regular company staff from time to time. Our company staff is seven people at present, but is likely to grow.
Our internal human resources management responsibilities relate to our own company policies and UK employment law, ensuring that our staff are treated well and fairly. There is also a responsibility to ensure that that staff are appraised and developed in the usual way.
Our company delivers high quality face-to-face training to experienced doctors. It is important that we maintain high standards in all that we do. The appointee will be expected to help other members of the team, from time to time, with practical tasks such as opening up, closing up, setting up equipment, putting away equipment, distributing handouts, answering queries and so on. The need to help in this way will particularly arise during colleagues’ holidays. In the near future we are expecting to start weekend courses and the appointee would need to be willing to help with these, to a maximum of six weekends per year.
As we are a small company, with a need to help each other, this role will be in person. There may be the potential for a limited amount of remote working once the appointee is established.
Our company website is: https://www.bromleyemergency.com/.
This is a full-time role, with a salary of £34,000. The salary will be reviewed after six months.
An appropriate level of human resources training, skills and experience are required.
