What will you do?:
We are growing our Human Resources team by adding an experienced HR Manager, with expertise in recruitment. As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of human resources/people operations, with a particular focus on overseeing recruiting. This role will report directly to the Chief People Officer. The HR Manager should be able to travel to our Skipton office at least once a week.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Manage recruitment and retention ensuing the best talent joins the business.
- Oversee the production of job descriptions for all posts.
- Lead advertising for all job vacancies.
- Lead sourcing for appropriate candidates.
- Support hiring managers on screening applicants.
- Conduct preliminary interviews.
- Train and develop hiring managers on effective interview technique as required.
- Manage recruiting budget.
- Work with external placement agencies as needed.
- HR Operations:
- Manage the operational day-to-day HR processes across all aspects of the employee life cycle, including onboarding, offboarding and probationary processes to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all employees.
- Manage accurate HR records and databases ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Lead, manage and advise on formal absence, disciplinary, capability, grievance issues.
- Act as the escalation point for all UK HR related issues.
- Continually evaluate HR policies, procedures, processes to develop improvements, efficiencies, and best practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business to provide strategic HR support.
- Provide expert advice to resolve Employee Relations matters.
- HR Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies,
- Prepare and submit HR reports, metrics, and analytics to senior management as required.
- Stay informed on HR trends, changes in legislation, and best practices to continuously improve HR operations and practices.
- Performance Management:
- Promote and support efforts to build and maintain a high-performance culture.
- Support business leaders with quarterly performance review process
- Coach and develop managers to enable them to perform their roles more effectively.
- Payroll:
- Assist with running monthly payroll.
- Enter payroll data and maintain accuracy.
- Employee Engagement:
- Promote a positive and inclusive work culture that values diversity and encourages employee participation and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field of study.
- Proven professional track record as an HR Manager with a focus on recruitment.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment laws, regulations and best practices.
- Experience in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Requirements:
- A private home office or workspace with the ability to secure confidential information and have private conversations.
- Ability to travel to Skipton location as needed.
- Ability to participate in virtual meetings during US workday, as needed.
