We bring to life the spirit, stories and action of Silverstone’s legacy in British motorsport through a dynamic, interactive and engaging visitor experience. Our guests get the opportunity to get up close and personal to some of the most iconic cars and motorbikes, learn about racing legends, see action on the circuit itself and (coming this year) tour the circuit and some of its legendary locations.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the operational HR activity for a business of up to c.100 employees (at peak), a mix of employed and volunteers. The role will be the onsite subject matter expert for all things people related, ensuring compliance and management of employee relations issues as well as supporting front line Managers.
This is an incredibly exciting time to join us as you will play a key role in embedding the company culture as we make a step change to uplift our brand and visitor experience. Working closely with the CEO, you will be able to make recommendations and drive positive change across the organisation.

The role:
- This is a true generalist role where you will have the ability to get involved in all people related matters as the onsite SME.
- Delivering best-in-class service whilst looking at current processes and making recommendations to ensure efficiency.
- Supporting all the onsite recruitment activity of both employed team members [GP3] and volunteers.
- Assisting department managers in providing employees with development opportunities that align with current and future performance expectations.
- Developing and maintaining trusted and effective working relationships with employees and managers, providing expert HR advice and guidance as required.
- Ensuring HR processes are understood and applied in the organisation.
- Coaching and guiding managers in people management challenges.
- Creating and amending contracts, employee communications and HR documentation.
- Ad hoc projects; such as onsite engagement activity and team updates.
- As a stand-alone role, you won’t be afraid of rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in, you will be involved with general payroll & people administration.
About you:
- You will be an experienced HR Manager, HR Advisor or Junior Business Partner looking for a stand-alone opportunity where you can really make a difference.
- You will be comfortable working at pace, with an agile approach and the ability to juggle priorities to meet business needs.
- You will have a generalist background and be confident leading on ER cases should the need arise.
- You will be a great team player and networker, building effective relationships is key to this role so you should be confident in new situations and always looking for solutions or new ways of doing things.
- Ideally you will be CIPD qualified but that’s not essential, we are more interested in your people skills, experience and passion to ensure our teams are engaged and feel valued.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday. This is mainly office based, but there is some flexibility with regards to start and finish times and some occasional home working. If you need any support or adjustments at interview stage to enable you to be your best, please let us know.
